I dont think only the person the is healing knows how long to wait and when the time is right to date some1 else. I believe that if you rush into another relationship it will only be bad since the other person doesnt deserve to be in the rebound which more likely it will happen. once the person forgets all together the person and when they remember and no feelings come whatsoever no regrets or any tears or anything and just remember it as having a good time while it lasted thats when the person should start dating that can happen in weeks or in months sometimes years its only up to the person and by 4 to 5 months seems like you will move on. hope u find some1 that you dont spend alot of time where you figure out that that realationship not for you good luck!

Well I’m the same way.
I wouldn’t want to have broken up with someone, and then have a new boyfriend the next day.
But, my ex-boyfriend obviously doesn’t care.
Me and him went out for about six months, and he broke up with me (It was sort of mutual, since I liked someone else anyway), and literally two days later he had a girl friend. Which also happens to be a good friend of mine. I was pissed off for a few days, but I got over it. He wasn’t worth getting upset over.

Depends how old you are. Breakups are hard on both of you. Let yourself get involved in more school activities and help out more at home. Don’t let any guy mess up your thinking and yes, four or five months is a good number.

i think u should wait maybe 2-3 months
but dont make urself start dating
if after 2-3 months, you are still not ready, take as much time as u need until ur ready 2 start dating again
dont force urself 2 start dating if ur not ready
