Should Online Dating Site Prevent Users To View Other Users Photos Until Interact With That User For A Week?

most people just look at the picture and went “no thanks, next” when that person is probably the one matches everything they are looking for..
I don’t believe people on dating site should see the pictures of the other until maybe after they have talked and know each other for about a week (based on message counts) then the site unlocks the feature to let them see each other’s picture
would an online dating site as such be successful in your opinion?

i don’t think so..just b/c personally i wouldn’t talk to a guy long at all if i didn’t know what he looked like. not b/c i’d pass him up if he was “ugly” b/c i know i’d talk to him anyway. it’s b/c i could be sitting there talking to a fifty year old guy scratching himself. i need to see who i’m talking to before i talk to them.

Well i mean it would be good because no one would be able to judge you on appearance, but rather judge you on your outlook on life, your personality, and your humour. And even just how much the two of you get on.
However, for the majority of people out there, looks do matter, and if they had a great couple of converstaions with a particular person, but then find out they a 0 on your “hot” scale, then maybe in some peoples opinions, it could be considered a waste of time.
I like that idea though, and i think it would work for the people who genuinely want to date people with similar interests, if they are good looking, then thats just a plus. x

If you do not want someone to see your photo then you shouldn’t upload it onto the internet.
FYI – any pic you upload (including the one you are using here on yahoo) can be copied and pasted to anywhere else and end up absolutely anywhere on the internet anywhere in the world.
