i am a black male of west indian descent from nyc. and would like to know is the job market good, is the city a good place for a free spirited single man, and how is the housing market. Also what fun things can i do on my past time?

to answer your question the housing market is great. Houston has some of cheapest houses in the US and they aren’t that small either. Here is houston the unemployment like the rest of the US. Most people here have jobs.
There isn’t much you can do in your past time here. I personally don’t like this city and the weather is gross. You never know what is gonna happen.
Not really. If you’re a young single black male, be prepared to be stopped by a lot of cops or get shot at. The crime rate in Houston is outrageous. It’s gotten even worse since Hurricane Katrina. Trust me! I grew up there. That place is a cesspool. It’s bloody stinking hot, it’s polluted, and the traffic is horrible. You’re better off moving to Austin.
I really dont know about that… but houston is a fun place a lot of clubs,malls,parties,A lot of good looking people,most of the peole are latino/hispanic mostly[mexican,puertorican,salvadorian & hondorunian]

Sure…if you wanna be bored. NYC is fun. Houston is not. Houston tries to be like NYC though, because they’re envious, I believe.
I’m not sure about the rest, but I am sure as hell good looking!
