I hate moving and need a place to live for let’s say . . . . ten years. Any ideas? Thanks!

This is such a random thing to ask… It’s easier to answer where safe neighborhoods are. There are safe places all over Seattle. Ballard is a really nice and safe neighborhood. Magnolia is a beautiful neighborhood with a lot of great views. I’m just thinking of nice areas that have a lot of houses that could potentially have rooms for rent, but if you are looking for a specific house that is currently for rent, I don’t have that. Sorry!
Seattle is a very safe city! However some of the best places to live is the capital hill district and madison park! However I live in capital hill and I can personal say its amazing, very safe, with great views of the city, it’s in the perfect location with easy acsess to anywhere in the city, it has the best local shops and everyone is very friendly! There is alot of places available around 15th street!
Hmmm. Well, the first thing I’d do is check the rooms/shared housing section of Craigslist. http://seattle.craigslist.org
There are usually all kinds of house-share ads on there, many of which are all women.
As another woman in her 30′s, I feel safe in most of Seattle, even at night. I think you might prefer living north of Downtown, in areas such as Ballard, Greenwood, Wallingford, Greenlake, Ravenna, Roosevelt, Mapleleaf, Crown Hill, etc. Shoreline is also safe and not too far north.
Other parts of the city are a little more hit and miss. Much of West Seattle is great (but I wouldn’t necessarily live too close to the Delridge area). Magnolia, Queen Anne, and Eastlake are nice and closer to downtown.
Best of luck to you…
Hope that helps.
um everywhere in seattle is pretty safe before night but at night there might be kids out and stuff but they probably wont hassle you I’m guessing you want the place to be in the city so the north-end would be the safest around wallingford and fremont and green lake they are all safe places the u district is usally safe but there is college students out there and a lot of people sell drugs on the ave but the wont try to mess with you shoreline is really nice it used to be part of north seattle and they are really close together this is where i grew up the schools are good but i think its a little expensive the central district is pretty mediocre there is some parts with a lot of drug addicts and dealers and other parts are nicer i lived in a pretty good part and i rented a 5 bedroom house for 1,700 a month the southend is more dangerous i guess but its not as dangerous as other city’s there is a lot of gangs but most of them don’t mess with you unless you mess with them i live down there and if you just ignore them they will leave you alone so that’s like a map out of where you can live if you want your kids to grow up in this neighbor hood go for shoreline
I would suggest going to the east side and live in Redmond or Medina if you are concerned about safety. Mercer Island is great too.
I think Everett is great and safe! I have been here 5 years and love it near by stores no gangs no drugs its great!
Central District is a wonderful neighborhood
Alki Beach.
