Do People Actually Take Online Dating Articles Seriously?

Occasionally we run into them on Yahoo’s front page and I read them just for kicks and a good laugh. Most of things these “experts” seem to have the mentality of adolescents when it comes to dating and relationships. Lots of unfair stereotypes and generalizations too.

i do just to see what useless info theyre trying to put on us. my favourites are the mens health ones. apparently (according to them), one way to arouse their girlfriend is to get them to watch amimals having sex. apparently it drives women wild.
    FAIL @ mens health

Real adults don’t. I’m sure that some younger people (read: naive and inexperienced) might think that they are worth something. I never bother with them because I’m into Femdom and the basic relationship advice doesn’t apply anyway, even if it did have anything valid to offer.

Yes because there are so many cases that online dating actually works. The only thing that makes it bad are scammers. To enjoy dating online you got to be sure you meet real people.

A few of them have made the occasional astute point, but otherwise they’re packed with stuff you already knew, or outdated or borderline-offensive advice.

I’ve never really read them, but right now I’m not really seeing anybody so I don’t care.

I can’t imagine anyone who does. I never even go to any of that kind of sites.

i’m surprised anyone even reads ‘em.

Some do – it’s not that hard to understand why!
