Maybe Hamilton Island would be good because there are lots of different places to stay and there is a small 'village' there with places to drink so its easier to meet people. The other thing that you could do is a sailing trip for a couple of days. Cheaper than staying on an island plus you get to see more... You don’t want to go somewhere really couply, so rule out Hayman, Daydream, Long Island.
