Is There Any Place To Fuel-up An Ethanol-powered Vehicle Where You Live?

11 February 2010 154 views 10 Comments

There is not one single place to do so in the entire state of California.
How about a fuel-cell vehicle? Is there any place to fuel-up one of those where you live? I would have to drive for about 2-1/2 hours to reach my nearest fueling point. What about you? Are either of these vehicles viable options where you live?

No not in my area either.
Be forewarned though that they’re discovering that the ethanol-powered cars are beginning to have engine problems. That stuff is eating through seals and sludging motors up.

I don’t see how the question is relevant. There were no gas stations when the first automobiles hit the road. Hundreds of thousands of hybrids ride the streets every day in the U.S. Millions more soon will. Your argument is beginning to sound as antiquated as the horse and buggy.

yes, every gas station in my state has E30 and E85…although, I am from south dakota…and we have several ethanol plants…i might add, I drive a flex-fuel vehichle and refuse to put ethanol in it…it ruins your mpg and is nasty on your engine…

yes, there are E85 pumps, i’ve seen them in california too
e100 and fuel cells are not in production vehicles, so there wouldn’t be any filling stations
