I’m 27 years old .. i joined online dating sites after a nasty breakup with my ex cuz all the ” nice” guys around my age are all taken.
well… there are pros and cons on dating sies.
it worked for me cuz i met my current bf through plentyoffish.com.
    good
*u can literally do “window shopping” thousands of single guys who live in ur state sitting in front of computer at home. ( pics tell us thousands of words)
*it starts from conversation not anything physical so u can get to know them better before u actually meet them over coffee.
*as a women’s point of view, there are a lot more men on these dating sites so women have a lot of choices to choose from.
    bad
*many ppl lie about pics, age, job, schools, income, height, weight hobby.. just about anything in their profiles.
*I have met several guys in person .. and a couple of them looked fatter and balder cuz they put their VERY old pics in their profile to make themselves look younger. some even put pics of them 10 years go!
*i noticed that pictures and webcam are 2 VERY different things.
some ppl look amazing in their pictures but look horrible on cam and the other way around.
U really have to ask them to get on cam to see what they really look like.
*too many scammers and bots. NEVER trust too good to be true model looking ppl there.
they are nice at first but eventually they will ask you for money for whatever the reason.
*U never know who they really are untill u hang out with them in RL. ppl lie all the time on the net after all. Plus just because he seems one way on the net doesn’t mean he is that way in RL.
*dating sites are expensive. more than one hundred US dollars per year.
*since i’m a sorta young woman, i was overwhelmed by hundreds of mails i got from guys.
Too many lonely desperate guys there.
*Besides scammers and bots. there are many married men and players there. they will ask u to hook up with them after a few chats.
*one of the most surprise things is that there are many men and women who are only into cyber relationships there.
I don’t know why they joined dating sites if they never wanna meet anyone in person but they are there looking for someone to chat.
    hope i helped!

This being a new thing for me I think online dating provides plenty of opportunity to connect and build new relationships that could mature to marriage and solid family setting. So in terms of business model I would say it is still in the growth stage with huge growing population of singles to be covered worldwide.

Confusing, worrying, distracting and alittle interesting.
I just got out of one because she believes it ok to be self involved and be confused if she loves me or not after saying it for the past 3 months and suddenly get confused because shes having a tough time outside her life from me.
Its a constant worry since she/he forgot to tell you there are going out or shes got one of her friends coming over who is a guy whom i know nothing about.
If your gonna online date, please meet them and do a locally and not attempt a long distance relationship.

Online dating is a cool thing to do. I’m having fun at Live Date Search. They have this “i like” and “i dont like” buttons and a strong scam detector that is so cool that will tell you the person is real. You can check it for yourself.
