i am a single mother of 4 but i am only 29 years old. I am having trouble finding guys my age to date me. I am not looking for a father for my kids they have one. but i am not looking to just “hook up” i want a relationship!? is this even possible? or should i give up trying? i have dated older men.. but i want a guy my own age.

Find one at Church, if you have faith. Find one in a bar, if you don’t. You can always grab a married one at work, shouldn’t do that. You can find all kinds on dating sites. A good friend of mine, believe it or not meet a girl on Eharmony and they have moved into together, both have kids. You can meet one through friends. I’m 28 with 2 kids ;-)…. I don’t think all the hobby ones are that good, you might be into scrap booking and guess what kinda guy your gonna meet in that class. Besides once you meet a guy you can learn new hobbies together and most the time men and women will have different hobbies. One works on Cars while the other coaches cheerleading.
I am a single mother with 2 children. I went to singleparentmeet.com. I posted a profile and explained exactly what I was looking for in a relationship. With internet dating, you can talk to someone and then decide if you want to meet them without going out on a lot of dates. I looked at a lot of profiles. I started talking to a guy and we had a lot of common interests. We exchanged cell phone numbers. After talking for several weeks, we decided to meet (we live 2 hours apart). We have been dating for almost 3 months and we both know it is the real thing. Talking on the net is actually safer than going on a lot of blind dates!!
I think the best place for you to meet a guy is somewhere that shows your interests or hobbies. Example: If your a movie buff, try making some conversation with a guy next time you’re at the video store. Next time you’re at the park with your kids, spark up some convo there. That way you no matter who you chat with, you’re both in a place where you obviously share the same interests. (Especially if he has kids, too.) Just don’t try so hard to “find” someone. Let it happen, and when it does be open about what you want… xoxo….
Well some people get weirded out by on-line dating services. My advice is to find a place that would attract guys that have something in common with you. For example, bookstores are a great place to strike up conversations. Or find some time to visit a restaurant or coffee shop alone. Sometimes the guy in line behind you at the grocery store might be a match. It is important to be confident in yourself and don’t be afraid to start a conversation.
You could attend some classes that interest you, like a painting class or ballroom dance class. The men there will most likely share your interests (since he’s taking a class) and not be some sleezy barfly. Whatever you do, don’t expect to meet relationship caliber men at clubs.
I believe going out with friends is still the best. Doesn’t always have to be a bar, but nothing wrong with that. Card parties, backyard bbq’s, boating on the river, day at the beach, etc. You never know. That is how I met my husband. You can’t meet people staying home.
dont look for them. the guys you look for cant help saying NO because they are guys and they want other things. When you least know it one will come knocking and he will be the right one, the one who approaches with no harmfull intentions.
i don’t have a clue but as one of the ‘older guys’ i wish you good luck all the same. it is possible so don’t give up. men need to be in relationships if they want to be whole.
on line dating, they have sites for single parents. Guys out there looking for exactly what you are. I have a friend who met her husband on a single parent site & they have been married for two years now. Good Luck sweetie!!
Try a single mom dating site. That may be the best way to find a guy that won’t be scared off by the 4 kids. Good luck.
Most guys on dating sites are looking for sex. But you could give it ago i suppose, you never know you might find Mr. Right.
Not to sound corny but eHarmony. its kind of time consuming because of all the surveys but in the end its great.
